RelayPulse — Privacy Policy

Last updated: 8 September 2026 · Applies to RelayPulse for iPhone and RelayPulse for macOS

The short version: RelayPulse has no backend. We operate no servers, we receive no data from the app, and we have no account system. Everything the app stores stays on your own device. Monitoring traffic goes only to the servers you configure; the app also reads a few public sources, listed in full below.

What the app connects to

RelayPulse is an administration tool for servers you already own. It connects only to destinations you enter yourself:

There is no RelayPulse server anywhere in that list. Nothing is proxied through us, and none of these requests carry your keys, your server list or your measurements.

What is stored, and where

All of it stays on your device. Nothing is uploaded to us.

What we collect

Nothing. RelayPulse contains no analytics, no crash reporting SDK, no advertising, no tracking identifiers, and no third-party telemetry. We cannot see your servers, your keys, your measurements, or even whether you use the app.

Demo mode

The app ships with a "Demo data" switch that fills the screens with a fictional sample fleet so you can look around before adding real servers. While demo mode is on, no relay is contacted: no SSH session is opened and no monitoring agent is queried. The public sources listed above still work, so the news and network-statistics panels are not blank. The sample addresses are from the ranges reserved for documentation (RFC 5737) and belong to no real machine.

Local network access (iPhone)

If a relay you add happens to be on your own local network, iOS asks for permission before the app can reach it. RelayPulse only contacts the address you typed in. It does not scan, enumerate or discover devices on your network.

Data sharing

We do not sell, share, rent, or transfer any data, because we never receive any. Data about your fleet leaves your device only to the servers you configured, and — if you explicitly enable it — to the AI provider whose key you supplied. The public sources listed above receive an ordinary web request and nothing about you beyond the IP address any web request carries.

Children

RelayPulse is a technical administration tool intended for adults who operate their own servers. It is not directed at children and collects no personal information from anyone.

Your rights

Because all data is on your device and under your control, you can inspect it in the app, change it, or remove it at any time. Deleting the app removes everything it stored, including the keys held in the Keychain.

Changes

If this policy changes in a way that affects what the app does with your data, the updated version will be published at this address with a new date at the top.
